Gaining Access To Your Partners e-mail
Account
It is not always easy to gain access to
your partners e-mail account without their permission but
it may be possible in some cases to use the ‘forgotten
password’ links to reset the password to one of your
choice. This technique does have its disadvantages and its
success depends entirely on how well you know your partner
and your ability to answer their preset security questions
correctly.
It also only allows you to change the password to one of your
choosing but doesn’t reveal the previous password so you don’t
have the option of setting it back, therefore, alerting your
partner to the possibility that his or her account has been
accessed.
If and when you do gain access you can also utilise a
reverse e-mail
lookup tool to find personal details for the
owners of any e mail addreses you may find which you cant
otherwise account for.
Warning
By accessing or
making changes to your partners e-mail account
settings
you risk alerting
them to your activities.
Use the methods
described here only if you are confident in your ability
to carry them out discreetly.
Otherwise, use a
covert monitoring
program to obtain the evidence you are looking
for safely.
If you are confident enough you can try this
method for yourself by following the steps
below.
In Hotmail, MSN Messenger:
-
Open the hotmail login page
-
Click the link ‘Forgot your password?’
-
Enter the e mail address you wish to access and enter the 6
characters you see in the security image and click
continue
-
Select ‘Use my location information and secret answer to
verify my identity’
-
Answer the questions presented, for example: 'Country/City'
and ‘favourite pet’s name.
-
This will allow you to select a password of your choice and
reset it to gain access to the account.
In Yahoo:
-
Go to the Yahoo homepage
-
In the 'Mail' window click 'Sign in'
-
At the bottom of the sign in window click 'I cannot
access my account'
-
In the help window select 'Iforgot my password'
-
Enter you partners yahoo ID and also enter the
eight digit code shown.
-
select 'I cannot access any of the above' and click
'Next'
-
Answer the two security qustions and Click 'Next'
-
Enter and confirm a new password of your choice
-
Click 'Next' to be taken to a new window which will
confirm the account is now up to date. In this
window click 'Continue'
You will now have full access to
your partners e mail account. You will be given the option
to change the security questions and answers but
do not make any
changes to these as your partner
will use them to regain access to the account since they
will not have the new password. Your partner may think they
had a problem gaining access due to a technicality so it is
important not to make any other changes to avoid alerting
them. Also, there will be a new mail from Yahoo in the inbox
with details of the password change. Make sure to delete this e mail
form the inbox before you exit
the account. Be aware also that an e-mail will be sent to
the alternate e-mail address provided by the account
holder informing them that their password has been
changed.
This method will only work if you can answer the questions
correctly according to the answers your partner has provided
when setting up the account. Remember that these answers may
not necessarily be factual so even if you think you know the
correct answer it may not match the answer your partner has
provided!
If you have no success with this method or you dont want to
risk raising suspicion your only option is to install a simple
keystroke analyser program
and wait until the next time your partner logs into their
account to retrieve the password.
